Senior Node.js Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our backend team and help us create elegant and efficient web applications.

YOU WILL:

• Create and maintain scalable, tested backend services with web APIs
• Have a real impact on Backend Development in Monterail
• Have a chance to coordinate Tech initiatives and dig deeper into new technologies
• Drive innovation and improvements in our projects and development processes
• Be a mentor for other, less experienced developers
• Have an opportunity to become a Tech Lead.
• Be a vital part of our code review process
• Have a dedicated time for self-development

YOU ARE – IDEALLY:

• Experienced with Node.js
• Experienced with at least one modern framework (Express.js, Nest.js, Fastify, koa, hapi)
• Fluent with other technologies such as SQL/NoSQL databases
• Focused on writing clean & SOLID code
• Experienced with writing unit and integration tests (e.g. Mocha, Chai, Jest)
• Able to choose suitable architecture and technology for a project
• Experienced with the whole life cycle of projects (kickoff, deploy to production → maintenance)
• Fluent in spoken and written English

BIG +:

• Familiar with Typescript
• Comfortable with a highly iterative agile methodology that includes providing time estimates and managing feedback loops
• Willing to work with GraphQL and DDD
• Familiar with automation tools (e.g. Ansible) and containerization (e.g. Docker)
